The Stroke Association funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation, and helps stroke patients and their families directly through its Life After Stroke Services. These include Information, Advice and Support, Communication Support and Life After Stroke grants.
We also campaign, educate and inform to increase knowledge of stroke at all levels of society, and we act as a voice for everyone affected by stroke.

 Spinalpedia is a mentor network and video database that works to help ease and simplify the difficult transition for the spinal cord injury community into life with paralysis.

Caring can be a very isolating occupation and I doubt whether many of us actually chose to do it though in the end you have to choose how much commitment to give.
